Hi Dee,

1. I'm sorry for this issue, right now it is not possible to have the location empty. We will add the option in next update.

With regards,

Alex

1. The city is taken from the venue address. The user can select the venue from a drop down list or can add a new venue and from it the city is take for search.

Ah, so the city and the venue and the address are all connected. I thought they could be entered independently for some reason.

  • Is there any way to submit a venue without a city and an address attached?

I ask because the listing description for the theme stated that it's "good for event webinars" which don't take place in a physical location and therefore would need a venue (where the webinar takes place) but not a city & address attached to it.

My website is being designed for online webinars, which is what I purchased the theme for based on that info.

2. The venue is added in front-end event submission.

Yes, I am aware that the venue is added in front-end submission. My issue was that the venues were not searchable, only the city is searchable.

I was able to get the city info to submit by putting in an entire fake address, but my events don't take place in a physical location. My reply to #1 above addresses this more. Thanks

3. Can you send a link and login credentials to investigate your website event submission. There may be a jQuery issue preventing the system to submit venue.

I'm setting up the search for my website and found what looks like an error:

My website is set up like the front page of your demo here: https://royaltickets.fantasythemes.net/demo06/

There is a search form on the front page that lets you pick "WHERE" an event is. The search results for that option are pulled from the "Event Cities" category in the backend.

But there is no place for a user to pick a "city" for their event when they submit one. So why are cities searchable if a user can't input any info to that?

  • A user can submit the name of a Venue, which goes into the "Event Venues" category but Venues are not searchable.
  • The Venue option on the dashboard has a place where you can add a Name, City and Address. But the info you put in the city box does NOT get submitted to the "Event Cities" category.
  • The Event Cities categories stays empty no matter what fields I fill in to submit an event.

This is a bug that makes the theme unusable for me. I need users to be able to search by City by allowing Organizers to pick a city their event is in.

Or I need the Venues to be made searchable since that's the only thing organizers can select when they submit an event.

Right now, the "WHERE" search option can only be set manually by an admin for each individual event listing instead of allowing users to pick their own city when they submit an event. This makes no sense for a "submit your own" event website.

Can this be fixed?
